Promote your business with shine

This is where I get excited about your business.

Here's what I can write for you

Your future customers want to know why they should choose you.

Here’s where I can promote your business and put the right words in the right places.

Win new clients

Sales Proposal

Nail the proposal with just the right words and win a new client. This is an important document and I’ll craft it just right for you. Show off your best and secure that new contract you’ve been hoping for.

Sales Presentation

Present authentically but professionally in a business meeting to earn your prospects’ trust. I’ll create the whole PowerPoint for you — just send me your images.

Sales Pitch

Short and snappy works as a brief introduction to your business. It takes careful crafting to deliver just the right information and tease their curiosity. This can be adapted for in-person or over the phone, whichever works for you.

Give your audience a good experience with you

Webpage copy

Do your website’s words sound dull? Whether you’re creating a new website or your site needs refreshing, I’ll write for you. This is where I focus on Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) by using keywords relevant to your customers.

Report

Your expertise makes people trust you. Present your research or company information in a digestible way and you’ll communicate that you know what you’re talking about. I’ll take your data and tell your story with precision and flair.

Brochure

Would your business benefit from showing off your products and services in a glossy brochure? This makes for good in-depth browsing with detailed product descriptions, customer reviews and articles. This is the ultimate professional look.

Short blog post

This blog post is 500 words or under. It gives your audience just enough to read on their way to work or in the waiting room, and serves as just a taster of your expertise. Entice your customers and encourage them to trust you. I use SEO here to make sure your blog post is read.

Long blog post

This blog post is anything over 500 words and the limit is 2,000 words. Here’s where you can show your in-depth knowledge and experience – exactly what your customers want. I show you good sources of high-quality free images and optimise your blog post for the search engines.

Give people something to take away

Press advert

Have you decided to advertise in a magazine or newspaper? This is an excellent way to catch your customers’ eye while they’re relaxed. Publish punchy, eye-catching adverts and show your customers where they can buy from you.

Leaflet

Leaflets are incredibly versatile and can be the key to your prospects making a buying decision. You want informative, clear and tempting words to present yourself as the ideal solution for your customers. I’ve got you covered.

Direct mail

Post a sales letter, a small flyer, or any written content to go through letterboxes to reach customers who aren’t online every day. Most people check their post when it comes through the letterbox. That’s why you still get so much post from other businesses – it works.

Connect with your audience where they are

Social media post

Essential for any organisation, yet difficult to keep up when you’re busy. I’ll do all your creating and suggest ideas for your reels, images and stories. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Threads, you name it.

Ad copy

Are you looking for a more versatile advert to be used as a product description, on a billboard or in a format not listed here? I’ll write something that you can use however you want.

Included in every project

The whole point of copy is to make sales.

I analyse your customers’ engagement with the copy in the most relevant way for each service. Click-throughs, conversions, open rates and likes (or comments) are some of the golden nuggets of selling that I’m looking for, and of course, I’ll be taking a look at your sales data to see the impact.

I’ll check in with you regularly to see the impact.

Every word I write is straight from my brain, not a bot.

Why? While I believe AI is an amazing tool for many aspects of life, I also believe marketing should be written by humans for humans. AI doesn’t know human life like humans do, and in my view the best copy really understands the customer.

That said, I use AI for some informational research, such as the average price of pizza in Oxford. Even then, I read human-written sources to validate what it tells me.

I also use an AI notetaker for meetings. Again, I will double-check details with you to make sure I’ve got the right idea.

Every word I send to you has been completely crafted by my human mind.

Once the brief has been decided, I will write the first complete draft and send it to you.

After that, you can send me back any revisions you would like and I will send you the second draft.  You can then send me revisions for the final time, and I will send you the final copy.

I will write to minimise revisions, so two revisions are sometimes not necessary and the price will reflect that.

Important questions

I only write the words for each service.

However, with every piece of copy I write for you, I will show you how and where you can upload it, or add design and print it.

For some services such as social media or blog posts, I can show you some good sources of free images to include.

I think AI is a very useful tool. I rely on AI Overviews as much as anyone else and I use an AI notetaker in meetings.

Many people wonder if it will take over the copywriting industry and I’ve even heard some are convinced that it will.

But I believe human copywriting is here to stay.

Yes, AI is a powerful tool. It knows almost everything. It can make so many things easier.

But the fact remains: it’s not a human. It can echo, but not understand human emotions and experiences. It regurgitates what other people write. Human copywriters write from the heart, from the felt experience of life on earth, and they speak our language, not a textbook’s.

Copywriting is all about communicating value to you and to me. It’s a conversation. A florist or bakery would disappear without customers. So, copywriters write the conversation between businesses and customers to help someone with their gardening project, or buy bread for breakfast tomorrow.

People engage with humour, sympathy, mysteriousness or candour as it tells customers they are understood. Customers want to be related to.

This is what I believe AI can’t give us.

Ideally, we make all the decisions before I start writing.

I charge 50% of the price before any work starts, and this is non-refundable.

If you want to cancel once I’ve started work, I will charge you a second invoice depending on how many hours I have worked on the project.

A face-to-face discussion about your work is, of course, preferred. But if you’re really struggling for time, you can fill out the briefing form and sign the terms remotely.

Once the first 50% invoice has been paid, I’ll start work from there.

Just be aware you may end up paying more for revisions.
